The Children's Newspaper
The Children's Newspaper ran for 46 years with over 2,000 issues. Each issue had 12 pages and featured current events, world news, comics and advertising. Representing a unique insight into the early 20th century British Empire from the viewpoint of a child.
In its early years, the newspaper was edited by Arthur Mee, whose strong religious faith and patriotism is reflected in the paper’s stories. Editions found in this collection range from 1923 to 1932 and were edited by Arthur Mee.
Today The Children’s Newspaper is owned by Look and Learn and more issues of the newspaper can be found on their Look and Learn website.
